"Learn To Fix and Prevent Problems with Your Horse - Yourself"
Women's 4 hour short course:
Is the Honeymoon over between you and your horse?
Have you hit some rough spots in your relationship with your dream horse?
Is your horse pushy, wants to stay with his buddies rather that go on a trail ride on a beautiful day, and only likes to go one way, his way? Shy about unfamiliar places or trails, or just lost his mind and is out of control.
Many horse problems usually stem from the riders/handlers being concerned about doing something wrong; hurting themselves or the horse, lack of awareness and knowledge about themselves and the horse, and in some situations becoming apprehensive to fearful. Any of these combined can make a dangerous combination.
Healthy, positive dominance of the horse is based on controlling the movement in the horse by either causing it or inhibiting it, and controlling the direction and the velocity of such movement. This is the way horses establish which horse leads, which will follow and in what order.
Instead of putting your horse into training for 30 to 90 days with a trainer riding him; how would you like to learn to fix the problems yourself and learn how to prevent them?
Then this clinic is for you.
You will have the opportunity to develop a sense of control, safety, and comfort by increasing self and horse awareness and learning how horses communicate with you. As well as, how you have been communicating with them unknowingly.
So you have follow through and are supported in reaching your goals, you will have the opportunities to return for follow-up clinics to continue what you have started.
Clinician Fee:
($50 horse and rider/handler combination) Travel expense maybe additional dependant on location.
(Min. of 5 and max. of 10 horse and rider/handler combinations per clinic date)
Neg. Coggins must be with you.
"Overcoming Your Fear of Horses / Riding"
Women's 4 Hour short course:
Do you want to ride but are fearful or had a bad experience in the past?
Are you taking lessons and still feel uncomfortable when riding?
Do you presently have a horse that you feel apprehension about riding?
Do you take many of the things your horse does personally?
Female Pleasure Riders need to understand that most women are nurturing by nature and try to avoid conflict. They are less aggressive than most men, less intimidating in their stance, speech, or movements, and less inhibited about crooning to, or petting animals. These are exactly the qualities to which horse are most responsive. Yet, these qualities, which are less intimidating to the horse and less likely to precipitate the desire for flight, can also cause the horse to be less respectful and to feel dominant to the woman.
During this clinic you will have the opportunity to develop a sense of control, safety, and comfort by increasing self awareness and learning how horses communicate with you participating in group activities and one-on-one sessions to teach you how to handle the horse from the ground and/or mounted. So you have follow through and are supported in reaching your goals, arrangements can be made for you to have opportunities to return for follow-up instruction or clinics to continue what you have started.

As well as, to recommend concepts, skills and practices that supplement traditional training programs.
